Employees from the Boca Raton-based Florida Peninsula Insurance Company (FPI) provided an early Thanksgiving surprise to several deserving families recently by delivering 40 Thanksgiving baskets to the Broward County School Board in Fort Lauderdale.  The baskets will be delivered to needy students and their families through the Head Start Program.

Baskets were filled with delicious Thanksgiving goodies, including mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green beans, corn, biscuit mix and cake mix. A roasting pan and turkey voucher were also included. FPI’s family of employees donated the items and packed each basket.

FPI participated in a similar Thanksgiving project last year through the Head Start Program at C. Robert Markham Elementary School, where the company “adopted” students and their families and provided Thanksgiving dinner.

Florida Peninsula Insurance Company, one of the top 10 largest homeowners insurance companies in the state, participates in several community initiatives, including the WPLG Local 10 Storm Expo in Miami and a Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach “Build Day” in Boynton Beach.
