Insurance fraud continues to be a costly issue for the residents of Florida who continue to experience rate hikes year after year due, in large part, to the fraud throughout the State.

According to the Florida CFO's website, in 2012 they received approximately 3,700 requests for investigations.  In 2013, the State investigated property losses of nearly $166M of which approximately $69M were attributed to arson.  For more information on Florida's Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigations click here.
