Tropical Storm Debby formed in the Gulf of Mexico this weekend.  Although Debby has an unimpressive appearance on satellite imagery, the entire State of Florida has been experiencing its effects of massive downpours, high winds, and even tornados.  Most of the northern part of Florida is under tornado warnings and the West Coast of Florida has Tropical Storm Warnings from just south of St. Pete northward through the entire Florida Panhandle.

Debbie's maximum winds stand at 50 mph with gusts up to 65 mph however; it is currently stationary off our coast caught between two steering systems.  It is expected Debby will remain off the Florida coast for the next few days.  Computer models have not been agreement as to the direction Debby will turn, however during the most recent report, most models have Debby entering Florida somewhere in the Florida Panhandle.
