Florida Peninsula’s Chief Legal Officer, Stacey Giulianti, Esq., recently taught some courses on insurance for high school business classes at both Deerfield Beach High School and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Stacey participates in these courses through the national InVEST program, which “works with educators by providing curriculum to teach insurance and business skills to high school and college students around the nation.”

InVEST also provides scholarships to students who qualify and want to pursue a career in insurance. Last year, Florida Peninsula Insurance Company partnered with InVEST to award two $500 scholarships to Deerfield Beach High School graduates. The recipients were able to use the funds toward the college of their choice.

Partnering with InVEST is just one way Florida Peninsula Insurance Company is active in the community. The company participated in six Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure"® events around Florida last year, and has continued its commitment to the charity in 2013. The company also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and the Head Start Program at C. Robert Markham Elementary School. Through this program, the company has “adopted” students and their families and provided Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas presents and Easter baskets through donations from company employees.
