Florida Peninsula Insurance Company would like to remind you and your family, on November 3rd, we turn our clocks back one hour at 2 a.m., to mark the end of Daylight Saving Time. As we welcome the extra hour of sleep, here are a few things to remember about Daylight Saving Time:

  • Most smartphones, tablets, and computers will automatically adjust to the new time. However, do not forget to manually turn back the clocks in your home and appliances.

  • It will begin to get darker earlier in the evening. If you utilize timers on the lights in your home, be sure to reprogram them to adjust to the new time.

  • The end of Daylight Saving Time also serves as a great reminder to test the carbon monoxide and smoke detectors in your home.

  • Daylight Saving Time in Florida will begin again on March 8, 2020 at 2 a.m.
