Habitat for Humanity
Florida Peninsula Gives Back team had a very busy January volunteering in on both sides of the state. On January 5th, members of our Gives Back Team in Sarasota volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Sarasota to assist in the building of a dream home for a deserving family in their community. A week later, the Florida Peninsula Gives Back team in Boca Raton were hard at work again, to assist in the completion of a home with Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County. Habitat for Humanity provides affordable housing opportunities to low-income families.
On January 26th, members of the Florida Peninsula Gives Back Team and their families participated in the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure 5k in West Palm Beach. This is the seventh year Florida Peninsula has participated in the Race for the Cure, to raise funds and awareness for the Susan G Komen Foundation to aid in their mission to end breast cancer.
